Dear Campers,

Wow, Camp is going to be bigger and better in 2018! Since we are going to be inside the Great Hall at the Purina Event Center, there are going to be some changes, so PLEASE read this information carefully and follow the links to sign up for classes and meals, and to print information and entry forms for agility and herding.

General Information

Registration & Setup & Welcome Pizza Party — Registration and setup (see Campsite Information below) will tentatively begin at 2:30 PM on Monday, June 18th with a cash bar at 5:00 and a Pizza Party at 6:00.

The Wildwood is located about 12 miles from Purina.

Space is limited, so make your reservation early. Rooms with two queen beds are $115, and king size rooms are available for $125. There is an additional $30 fee for one to two dogs and $60 for three to four dogs. This is a flat rate and good for the entire stay.

RV Rental Information — RV Hookups with electric, water, and sewer are available at Purina Farms. The cost of an RV site is $35/night. If you don’t have an RV, you have the option of renting a trailer or RV and having it delivered to Purina upon your arrival and picked up upon your departure. Please contact either one of the companies listed on the RV Information link. Everyone staying in an RV, whether your own or one that is rented, must complete and mail the RV Reservation Form, which you will find on the Forms page.

Auction / Raffle and Campfire Store — The auction this year will be a silent auction along with a raffle. At the last camp we had some spectacular items. Most of the money that we raise for health and rescue comes from this event, so we really appreciate your unique and fun items as well as your generous bidding!

The Campfire Store will offer irresistible Beardie and doggie items for your shopping convenience!

Campsites — This year there will be setup sites (air-conditioned indoor “campsites”) available inside The Great Hall for campers to crate their dogs. Unless you have an RV where your dogs can stay in air conditioning or you plan to keep your dog with you at all times, you will need a campsite. The sites will be 8’ x 10’, so they can easily be shared. The cost will be $10/campsite to offset the setup charges. Sign up to reserve a campsite on your registration form.

BUT WAIT! That’s not all! There will be a contest with prizes to see which campers have the best decorated campsites. We have some creative campers, so put your thinking caps on now!

Meals

The Checkerboard Café will be open every day for breakfast and lunch, and we have great meals planned for the evening inside The Great Hall. Dogs will be welcome at the tables outside the café, but not inside.

Here are our scheduled evening meals:

  • Monday, June 18th — Cash Bar and Welcome Pizza Party at 5:30. Cost: $7.00
  • Tuesday through Thursday Dinners — Cash Bar 5:30 – Dinner at 6:00. Cost: $24.00
