The Road to AKC Recognition

From the time the BCCA was formed in 1969, its founding members worked tirelessly to move the breed (and its membership) toward AKC breed recognition. It took 7 years of building the membership and their interest in exhibiting, but the breed did gain AKC recognition in 1976.
